Powder coating equipment

Powder coating is a special type of coating that is normally painted to get a comparative hard surface rather than liquid coating. As like the liquid coating, no solvent is required in the case of powder coating while spraying the powder to make a coat on any particular surface. In most of the times we have seen the use of thermoplastic element to be used through Power coating equipment and sometimes thermoset polymer has also been seen as another elements used to be delivered through Power coating equipment.

Powder coating equipment

Power coating equipments are designed that can confirm the spraying of powder with electrostatic charged on top of any surface that is pre heated. Mainly spraying guns with special type are considered as Power coating equipment. We have seen the usage of two different types of spraying gun used as Power coating equipment. One is: Tribo charging gun and another is: Corona charging gun. When the powders are getting released throughout the barrel of the tribo charging gun, the friction of powder and the barrel produced an electrostatic charge. On the other hand, current from electrical power supply has been used to produce electrostatic charge in the corona charging guns. A container known as fluidized bed is also used as Power coating equipment where powder and air chamber has been placed at the bottom of these guns.

Sandblasting equipments are considered one of the most accepted powder coating tools that is required for sandblasted powder coat. Plastic, glass and wood are normally considered as common sandblasting equipment. Sandblasting media are also the important issue to use sandblasting method as powder coating. Depending on the desired texture and surface sandblasting media varies in many categories, like: media like corncob and walnut can be considered as preferred media for sandblasting for the beginners. Silicon carbide can also be considered as the hardest sandblasting media. For electrical and electromechanical equipments extra precautionary measures should be taken in order to avoid any damages of such sandblasting media.

Powder coating equipment

Powder coating is now a commonly used and well accepted technology from personal to industrial use. The complete powder coating process comes with different steps. Prepare all the materials and equipments required for powder coating is the first priority, second comes the application process on how and under what condition, powders are stored and sprayed to the surface, then the remaining steps involved with electrostatic and magnetic coating and last of all it comes with curing. Though Powder coating equipments are considered mainly as industrial equipments, but for it’s widely use approach, Powder coating equipments are now available in our nearby hardware stores.

Dry ice blasting

Dry ice is nothing but a solid form of carbon dioxide. Under the criteria of abrasive blasting, dry ice blasting is a surface cleaning technology where dry ice comes with a forced sir pressure on top any surface to clean it. Propelling pallets are the core of any dry ice blasting machine. The pallets used in dry ice blasting are absolutely tiny and little in size like rice grains.

Dry ice blasting

Compared to many other industrial and residential cleaning processes, dry ice blasting is better than many of them. Dry ice blasting is appropriate for cleaning normal mechanical machines, printing machine, vehicle engine. In order to remove oil, carbon black, paints and plastic residues. Dry ice blasting is very similar with the process and type of sand blasting. The cleaning mechanism of dry ice blasting is to transform the cold energy stored into dry ice pallets into strong kinetic energy when it comes with the tremendous force of compressed air on top of any surface. The perfect adjustment between the quantity of pallets and the force of the compressed air pressure gives the best result in the case of dry ice blasting. One of the major advantages of using dry ice blasting is that, the cold ice pallets have the easily dissolved characteristic in reaction with air.

For some exceptional cases, dry ice blasting are considered as the best cleaning method, for example, if any toxic element needed to be cleared from any surface, where the surface can not be damaged, parts (if available) of the surface can not be removed and environmental safety must be maintained.

Both single nozzle and double nozzle blasting machine has evolved to get the better result from dry ice blasting. As like sand blasting equipments, dry ice blasting equipments comes with the same structure. In a single nozzle machine, both compressed air and cold pallets have come with the same nozzle and sprayed on top of the surface. On the other hand, in double nozzle blasting machine, cold ice pallets came from one nozzle and compressed air came from another nozzle and sprayed on top the surface. Sand blasting equipments has some other material in the lower chamber of the machine but in ice blasting machine, cold ice pallets and compressed air are stored in the lower chamber of the machine.

Dry ice blasting

Though sand blaster is effective in many such cleaning processes but when the comparison is in between sand blaster and ice blaster, ice blaster always comes with first priority for its effectiveness and easy to use approach.

Use of sand blasting machine

Sand blasting machine is most likely key part of sand blasting equipment. Since you can still sandblast without gloves and hazard protecting suit even though you probably risk you life and health without those things. But without sand blasting machine sand blasting just wouldn’t be possible since you need to blast sand and other media with something. And just like with the other sand blasting equipment you have to be very careful when picking your sand blasting machine since they differ from quality, power and life-time. Every sand blasting machines needs to be taken care of really good since if you don’t clean your machine after use media that’s not cleaned out might damage you equipment.

Quality abrasive blasting

Quality abrasive blastingQuality abrasive blasting is key to high productivity and quality products. Only by ensuring quality abrasive blasting can you ensure the safety of operator as well as quality of product. There are several ways to ensure quality abrasive blasting; the most obvious way is to use quality abrasive blasting equipment, such as a quality blasting nozzle that won’t wear out as fast and still retains the optimum flow throughout the process.

Also important for quality abrasive blasting is the choise of abrasive blasting media. Wrong or poor quality media can irreversibly damage the underlying material, which is highly undesirable in most cases. Choose the proper and quality abrasive blasting media for your job. Is the underlying material sensitive to heat? Use liquid media. Is the material weak? Use soft media and so on. It is a good idea to use specialized media for each task. Finally, the safety equipment has an important effect of quality of the abrasive blasting process. Only by using proper safety equipment can the operator properly see through the whole process; for example, the helmet’s visor must always be clear for good visibility, the mask must efficiently block any harmful dust in the air or it could reduce the operator’s productivity or even pose a health hazard to him. Finally, protective gloves are a must in case the operator’s hand accidentally slips into the blasting stream. The experienced operator’s injury really can grind the whole production down. Keep these tips on your mind when choosing the abrasive blasting equipment and you will find it easier to provide quality abrasive blasting.

Best sand blasting equipment

Sandblasting equipment

How to choose the best sand blasting equipment? This question is no doubt often asked by upstarts looking for their first sand blasting equipment and regulars looking to replace their aged machine.  Most often will they look at the price tag, wince and look elsewhere for a cheaper machine. However, cheaper is not always better choice. Cheap sand blasting equipment will tend to have cheap parts, which tend to burn out sooner and thus rack maintenance costs up. Not only that, less quality sand blasting equipment could be more harmful to the operator’s health as well. Operators on sick leave don’t too well, do they?

That is why the price shouldn’t be an important factor. When looking for the best sand blasting equipment, it pays to look at the best quality machines. Superior parts will ensure fewer and cheaper maintenance cycles as well as content operators. In the end, the best sand blasting equipment will SAVE money. Choose wisely!

Media blasting equipment

Media blasting equipment are all media which we use for sandblasting and also all equipment used fro sandblasitng. And there is a lot of it, both media and other equipment.

From media you have all from aluminum oxide, walnut shells, steel shots, glass beads, plastic abrasives and more and more. Different types are used for different kind of work, from high abrasives to polishing media, you can use all.

And equipment is also important for work. Different size sandblasters are used for different work. And that is just machine. When we come to nozzles we have a lot o them, smaller for more precise work and big for stripping large areas in one go.

Which media and which equipment we use is based from knowledge what marked offers and from our knowledge and experience about sandblasting.

Different sandblasting media

Sand blasting uses many different media for polishing and abrasing surface. Some of this media is natural and for making that you don’t need to engineer anything and on other side you have chemically produced compounds. There is not true or false here, one media is good for something while other is better on other part.

Most commonly used media in old times, which is stilll being used, just a lot less, is sand. Different sized grains of sand made different effect on surface. Nowadays sand is not used that much any more. Reasons are obvious, sand producec way to much dust which covert all the area where we work and is also hazardous to our health.

Lately sand has being replaces with other sandblasting media. Aluminium oxide, glass beads, plastic abrasives, steeel grid, steel shot and many other edia has more or less totaly replaced sand.

These newer sandblasting media produce a lot less dust, can be reused up to 50 and more times and have better effect on surface.
